Rush Poker at Full Tilt

Post by malclarke on Thu Jan 21, 2010 8:48 pm

What do you think about this? Personally I think it is great. It is getting me more of a base of solid ABC poker, at a speed that holds my interest. Great stuff FT! Currently $1 down but only played 50 hands!! More to follow I'm sure.

Yep it seems to be a ABC game for sure, however as time goes on I am sure the pros will have moves and skills to help in the game.

Its fun but I wonder if other styles of poker will follow? PLO, Razz, Stud ect?

I think this is technically the trial for Full tilt in terms of rush poker. If they do offer PLO and Stud for example the good players of these games will have a HUGE advantage. I think other sites will be frantically coding their own versions of this game.

But I hear that FT have copyrighted the concept.

It depends on the nature of the copywright. They may be able to copywright their version of it but they cannot, for example, copywright the idea of playing fast poker. The other sites could change it up a little and get around it!

Rush Poker is like crack for the degenerate poker player… You will become a rush-head you will be like this is great; I love the speed of the game I’m up money and down some and than the next thing you know your bank roll is gone. You are like I need my fix of Rush Poker you ask friends to transfer you some money to your FullTilt account after you have borrowed all the money you can and lost it. You log into your buddy’s account (co-host) and lose all his money, just to get that Rush Poker fix..! For the degenerate poker player it is great. For the poker player that wants to grind out a poker bank roll it is not that great.
“Just Say No to Rush Poker” or you will become a rush-head.

True but if your poker skills are quite good, you could make some easy money from Rush, but in time I am sure it will slowly become the norm

I disagree its not easy money, you can only play your cards and using your position, you have to hope every call is right. It is not poker it is for the speed junkies who hate to wait around when there not in a hand. If it is easy money when you were down this weekend why did you not jump on a Rush table and make up your loses?

I think Rush is destined to die off because it is a bit too swingy with a minimal skill edge.
